Looking for a simple, healthy, fun afternoon snack for the kids?  Then this is all you need…a container of Greek yogurt and a bowl full of strawberries!

First, wash the strawberries and cut the tops off of them.

Next, open the yogurt and mix thoroughly.  Then dip each strawberry into the yogurt to coat.

This is by far, one of the most moist, delicious breads!  The Greek yogurt gives it a great creamy taste and you can use either fresh or frozen strawberries!

 

Ingredients:

1/2 cup butter – melted

3/4 cup sugar

2 eggs

1 container of Greek yogurt (I used honey flavored)

1 3/4 cup all purpose flour

1 tsp vanilla

1/2 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 tsp cinnamon

1 cup strawberries – chopped (fresh or frozen and thawed)

Fruit Smoothie Popsicles

I love making healthy summer snacks for my boys!  This is a quick, easy recipe that is full of healthy ingredients, yet they will still consider it a treat!

 

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups frozen strawberries

1 banana – sliced

1/2 cup blueberries

1 1/2 cups low fat milk

1 cup Greek yogurt – vanilla flavored

2 tbsp honey

Frozen Strawberry Smoothies

Frozen Strawberry Smoothies

This is a great way to use the extra strawberries you froze from the picking season!  All you need to make this super yummy, kid-approved smoothie is:

 

1 container of yogurt (I used honey Greek yogurt)

1/2 cup milk

1/4 orange juice

1 tbsp sugar

10-14 medium to large frozen strawberries (make sure they are completely frozen because they will take the place of ice in the recipe)
