Do you have kids who hate the crust on sandwiches? Do they love those Uncrustable sandwiches, which end up being a small fortune at the grocery store?! Well, look no further! This is the perfect kitchen utensil to have! The Pampered Chef’s Cut-N-Seal design is pretty simple … this is what it looks like:
It is a stainless steel hand press that slices the crusts off the sandwiches AND presses the two slices together around the edges to seal the sandwich and make it into a pocket! You can make many things with this sealer – sandwiches, mini pizza pockets, individual dessert pockets, etc. All sorts of fun ideas with this, but I am going to show you how simple it is to make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, peanut butter and honey sandwiches and even grilled cheese sandwiches that can be popped into the freezer and taken out when needed!
Instructions are simple! Just make your two slices of bread up with anything you want to combine in the sandwich.
Place the two slices together and place the sandwich on a cutting board. Then simply press the sealer down into the sandwich and twist just slightly to ensure it slices through the bottom piece of bread.
You can either serve the sandwiches up right then and there, or place them on a baking sheet and set in the freezer for about an hour until frozen through. Then each sandwich can be stored in the freezer in individual resealable plastic bags.
The cheese sandwiches can even be popped in the toaster oven to make a quick grilled cheese sandwich!
The Pampered Chef Cut-N-Seal tool can be purchased at http://www.pamperedchef.com for $10. I think it is well worth the investment as it can save you a lot of money in the long run! There are so many recipe possibilities to be created!
